The Site

The site is a former Buckinghamshire Council office building and associated car park. King George V House was closed in 2023 following a decision by the Council to sell the site.
A new Lidl store at this location would serve Amersham and also provide a fresh option for residents in nearby Chesham Bois and Little Chalfont. A town centre location, it is in local proximity to bus stops and is a sustainable location for those walking or cycling.
The site has limited biodiversity and includes a car park and hard standing areas. There are several mature trees within the car park which Lidl will retain.
